Barley is renowned as an ancient grain, very beneficial to overall health, and contains all 9 essential amino acids. To create the concentrated barley protein in RISE311, the barley is sprouted and cold-temperature processed to create an ingredient that is 85% protein content. This ingredient retains many of the polyphenols and other antioxidant content of the barley grain. This plant-based protein is new and a total game-changer. Most plant-based proteins have a high viscosity, which is a fancy way of saying it creates a thick mess when mixed with water or milk, or blended in smoothies. When you consume protein, your digestive tract hydrolizes it so it to release the amino acids so they can be absorbed and utilized by your muscles for growth and repair. Our enzyme blend is so powerful that it actually starts to hydrolize (pre-digest) RISE311 for you as soon as it’s mixed with water. It is so strong that you can actually notice that if you mix RISE311 with water and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes, you will start picking up some bitter notes, which is part of the hydrolysis process.

We add a little bit of lecithin made from sunflower to RISE311 because it is a very healthy addition that has the benefit of making all the ingredients more soluble in water.

We manage to craft our flavor simply using a delicate amount of our Reb-M stevia, which is the highest quality extract of stevia in existence. If you’ve ever had stevia and not like it, wait til you try this. You will not detect any hint of traditional stevia flavor because Reb-M is totally unique from the traditional stevia.
Almost all stevia you have tried comes from stevia using Reb-A (or maybe Reb-B) which is a non-caloric sweetening component found in the stevia plant. But Reb-A and Reb-B are abundant in stevia, relatively inexpensive to produce, and retain that traditional bitter aftertaste. Reb-M, however, is found is microscopic amounts in the stevia plant, and is very expensive to produce (which is why you likely will have never tried it in other products you have tried). But, all too often, leucine is made with inferior fermentation or isolation methods, which results in a low quality amino acid. We spared no expense in sourcing what we consider to be the highest quality leucine manufactured anywhere in the world, which is carefully and precisely fermented, using no animal ingredients.
Studies show that approximately 3 grams of leucine is required per serving in order to trigger what’s called the anabolic threshold, which is a fancy way of saying maximizing lean muscle development and promoting recovery.
